Tihanna "Poppy" Marie Hamlor passed away peacefully, surrounded by love, on July 11th, 2026, at the age of one.  

 

Though her time on earth was far too short, Tihanna's life was a beautiful reminder that love is not measured by time, but by the lives it touches. When Tihanna came into the permanent care and guardianship of Quentin and Laura-Ann Broggin at nine months old, she became a treasured member of a family who loved her wholeheartedly. Before long, she had earned the affectionate nickname "Poppy," inspired by the adorable little tuft of hair on top of her head that reminded everyone of Poppy from the movie, "Trolls". It was one of the many things that made her uniquely and wonderfully herself. From the very beginning, Poppy was surrounded by seven older brothers and sisters who adored her, celebrated every victory, and delighted in simply being with her. She was never without loving arms to hold her or caring hearts cheering her on.

 

Poppy was a fighter. Throughout her young life, she faced challenges that would have overwhelmed most, yet she met each one with remarkable strength and determination. Her family celebrated every milestone, no matter how small. Her first little smiles, learning to lift her head during tummy time, and the tiny chuckles she had just begun to share filled their home with immeasurable joy. Those precious moments may have seemed ordinary to others, but to those who loved her, they were extraordinary victories.  

 

With her beautiful, expressive eyes and quiet strength, Poppy left an imprint on every heart she touched. Her brothers and sisters loved caring for her in ways far beyond their years. They learned how to help with her oxygen and feeding tube, but more importantly, they loved her with patience, tenderness, and unwavering devotion. To them, she was simply their baby sister, and she knew the comfort, security, and unconditional love of a family who cherished her every single day.

Tihanna was preceded in death by her twin sister, Rhianna Nicole. She will be forever missed by her loving guardians, Laura-Ann and Quentin Broggin; her devoted siblings, Xavier, Malachi, Laylah-Marie,  Azariah, Naomi-Grace, Iliana-Rayne, and Matthias Broggin; her biological mother, Destiny Hamlor; her biological half-brother, Jamarion Hamlor; her biological grandmother, Kameelah Hamlor; her biological  great-grandmother, Audrey Jones; her biological great great grandparents Dailey and Mildred; along  with an abundance of extended family and all who were blessed to know and love her.

Though her life was brief, Poppy's impact was immeasurable. She taught those around her that courage  is not measured by size, that every milestone is worth celebrating, and that the greatest gift we can give  one another is unconditional love. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

A celebration of Tihanna's life will be held by Quentin & Laura-Ann Broggin on July 18th, 2027 at Evergreen Baptist Church at 4PM.
